Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the David Murray Haircare website and the purchase of products through our online store. Please read them before placing an order. They should be read together with our Refund & Returns Policy and Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

This website is operated by House Of Murray, trading as David Murray Haircare. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to House Of Murray.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

Section 2 – Using Our Website
By using this website, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • You will not use our website or products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
  • You will not transmit any viruses, malware or harmful code.
  • You will not scrape, copy or extract data from the website by automated means.
  • You will not harass others or infringe anyone's intellectual property rights.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website if these Terms are breached.

Section 3 – Our Products
We make every effort to describe and display our products accurately. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen. All products will match their description and be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, as required by law.

Please read and follow the instructions and safety information supplied with each product, particularly for electrical items such as our hairdryer.

We may limit quantities, restrict sales to certain regions, or discontinue products at any time. This does not affect orders already accepted.

Section 4 – Prices and Payment
All prices are shown in euro (€) and include VAT. Outside the EU, prices are converted into your local currency at checkout. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay.

We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already accepted.

Payment is taken at the time of order. Payment information is encrypted during transmission and processed securely through our payment providers.

Section 5 – Orders and Contract
When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging it. This is not an acceptance of your order. The contract between you and us is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation email.

We may decline an order before it is accepted, for example where a product is out of stock, where there is an obvious error in price or description, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or resale. If we decline an order after taking payment, we will refund you in full.

You agree to provide accurate billing, delivery and contact information.

Section 6 – Delivery
We will deliver your order to the address you provide, within the timeframe shown at checkout. If no timeframe is stated, we will deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed.

The risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods are delivered to you or to someone you nominate.

If delivery is delayed, we will let you know. If we cannot deliver within the agreed time, you may be entitled to cancel and receive a full refund.

Section 7 – Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
You have the right to cancel most orders within 14 days of receiving them. Full details of your cancellation rights, returns, refunds, warranty and faulty goods are set out in our Refund & Returns Policy.

Section 8 – Errors and Inaccuracies
Occasionally, information on our website may contain errors relating to product descriptions, pricing or availability. We will correct errors as soon as we become aware of them.

If an obvious pricing error affects your order, we will contact you before accepting it. You can then confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Section 9 – Third-Party Tools and Links
Our website may include third-party tools or links to third-party websites. We do not control these and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or policies. Any use of them is at your own discretion.

Section 10 – Reviews and Submissions
If you submit reviews, comments or feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit and publish that content in connection with our business. You confirm your submission is your own, is accurate, and does not breach anyone's rights or contain unlawful material.

We may remove any submission at our discretion.

Section 11 – Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, videos, logos and branding, is owned by or licensed to House Of Murray. You may not copy, reproduce, sell or exploit any part of it without our written permission.

Section 12 – Personal Information
We process your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

Section 13 – Limitation of Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, as our products are sold for domestic and personal use.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for defective products under the Liability for Defective Products Act, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish or EU law.

Section 14 – Your Responsibility
You are responsible for any loss we suffer as a direct result of your breach of these Terms or misuse of our website, to the extent permitted by law.

Section 15 – Events Outside Our Control
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer a full refund.

Section 16 – Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force.

Section 17 – Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. The Terms in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

Section 18 – Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country or in Ireland.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@davidmurrayhaircare.com and we will try to resolve it.
