Refund & Returns Policy

This policy sets out your rights when buying from David Murray Haircare online. It is in line with the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you, or someone you name, receive the goods. If your order arrives in several parts, the 14 days start when you receive the last item.

To cancel, email info@davidmurrayhaircare.com or use the cancellation form below before the 14 days end. You don't have to give a reason.

Returning your items
Send the items back within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling, to:

Please include your order number. You pay the cost of return postage, unless the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered.

You may handle the product as you would in a shop to check its nature, characteristics and functioning. If you handle or use it beyond that, we may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value. This does not apply to returns under our 30-day David Murray Guarantee, which covers used products.

30-day David Murray Guarantee
On top of your 14-day right to cancel, every product comes with our 30-day money-back guarantee. If you don't love it, you can return it within 30 days of delivery, even if you've used it, and we'll refund the full product price. Return postage is paid by you. See our Guarantee page for the full terms.

Refunds
We will refund you within 14 days of the day you tell us you are cancelling. This includes the standard delivery charge you paid. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund only the standard delivery cost.

We may wait to refund until we receive the items back, or until you show proof you have sent them, whichever happens first.

Refunds go to your original payment method, and you won't be charged any fees for the refund. Your bank or card provider may take a few extra working days to show it in your account.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Your statutory rights apply to every product we sell. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described:

• Within 30 days of delivery, you can reject it for a full refund.
• After 30 days, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If that isn't possible, fails, or causes significant inconvenience, you are entitled to a price reduction or a full refund.

Please contact us at info@davidmurrayhaircare.com as soon as you notice the issue. Include your order number, a short description of the problem, and photos where possible. We cover all return costs for faulty or incorrect items.

Hairdryer warranty
Our hairdryer comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorised repairs or normal wear and tear. To make a claim, email info@davidmurrayhaircare.com with your order number and a description of the fault. This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

Order cancellations before dispatch
You can cancel an order before it ships by emailing info@davidmurrayhaircare.com. We'll refund you in full. Once an order has shipped, the cancellation and return process above applies.

If you are unhappy with how we've handled your return, please contact us first at info@davidmurrayhaircare.com. You can also get information and advice from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie). EU customers can contact the European Consumer Centre in their country (eccireland.ie in Ireland).
